Local attractions, activities…

There’s more to Barbados than breath-taking beaches…

Whatever your interests, there is something to suit:

Eating out

Whatever your taste or budget you will find great restaurants all over Barbados. Fine dining, traditional street food, food trucks, beach bars – you won’t be disappointed. There is plenty of choice to cater for all dietary preferences.

Arts & crafts

Galleries, gardens, crafts, festivals…

If you choose to explore the island there are so many attractions, local crafts and events to visit during your stay – botanical gardens, festivals, craft shops with local artists, historical buildings and churches.

Beaches

So many are worthy of a mention! One of the closest beaches is in Speightstown but a trip along the coast will give you unlimited beaches to choose from. Please take note of any signs along the coast and on beaches – some areas (such as Bathsheba) are stunning but have very strong tides.

Water sports

If you fancy trying out one of the many water sports, head to the beaches to find local vendors or visit the Tourist Information booths to find information about how to book – jet skiing, water skiing, snorkelling, diving – there are activities to suit all tastes and levels of experience.

Island Tours

If you want to take an island tour to capture all of the sights with an expert guide, there are many tour operators who will escort you. Information about groups and tours are readily available locally in the shops and tourist information booths.

Car Hire

Many car hire companies will drop a hire car off to your Villa, by arrangement. You will need your driving licence with you in order to hire a car in Barbados.

Local bars

Local bars are plentiful – the perfect spots for relaxing and experiencing the real flavour of Barbados.
